How to become a Trailblazer!

  1. Submit a Freshman application via for the University of North Texas at Dallas (Make sure to select the right university)
  2. Submit a $40 non-refundable application fee or fee waiver.
  3. Submit an official high school transcript denoting your graduation plan.
  4. Submit an official college transcript, if you have taken any dual credit courses
  5. Submit SAT (UNT Dallas code 5999) or ACT (UNT Dallas code 6366). Starting with applications for Fall 2020, UNT Dallas will NOT require an SAT or ACT test score submission for admission purposes. Read press release for more details.

Fee Waivers for Freshman Applications

Option 1: Submit an ACT, NACAC, or SAT waiver. See your high school counselor for more information.

Option 2: Register for and attend a UNT Dallas virtual freshman information session.

Option 3: Attend a True Blue Preview Day (Fall) or Trailblazer360 event (Spring). As a result of COVID-19 all on-campus events have been suspended.

Pay Your Application Fee Online

Students are now able to pay their admission application fee through their student account via their myUNTD student portal. If you would like to pay for your application fee online, please contact our office at Once we receive your email, our team will communicate with Student Business Services to provide you with further instructions on how to proceed to make payment via your myUNTD student portal.


If delivered in person, please be sure that your transcript is in the original, sealed envelope when you submit it to our office. Transcripts can be hand-delivered to the Student Solutions Center desk in the Student Center building (#10 on campus map). As a result of COVID-19 the campus has closed and admission staff is working remotely. Unfortunately, in person submission of application documents is not currently an option. Please see alternative options below.

If you are having difficulty obtaining official documents as a result of COVID-19, we can accept electronic and digital transcripts directly from your high school counselor or your schools Registrar's Office via an official school staff email address. *Note: Transcripts from international colleges/universities must be translated and evaluated for authentication by a recognized U.S. evaluation company.
