New Student Orientation

COVID-19 UPDATE

At this time, no decisions have been made regarding whether our New Student Orientation sessions will occur on-campus or be made available online. As UNT Dallas and the UNT System make decisions about when campus operations will resume, we will update our plans for orientation programming. Our goal is to keep our future Trailblazers safe while preparing them for a successful transition to our UNT Dallas community.

In the meantime, we encourage new students to register for a New Student Orientation session as you normally would. Review this website for more information about the program and to review your possible dates of attendance. Then follow the instructions to register for your orientation via your myUNTD student portal. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests into the Trailblazer community soon!

NSO Experience

NSO is created with you in mind!  You will have the opportunity to meet other newly admitted students, learn about important policies and helpful resources, explore academic opportunities, and most importantly assure you will have a successful transition to UNT Dallas.

Academic Advising for all new students will be completed via your individual advising appointment. This appointment is scheduled and held outside the NSO experience. During this appointment with your Academic advisor they will be available to assist you in setting your first semester schedule!

NSO Fee

A new student orientation fee is applied for each student who registers for orientation.  The fee supplements the cost of new student “swag”, program implementation, facilities usages, and other resources to ensure you are supported your first year at UNT Dallas. You do not need to pay in advance in order to attend. The orientation fee is applied to your student account after you have attended your mandatory orientation session.
