Activate Your Student Portal

Activating your my.UNTDallas.edu student account is super important. By activating your account, you will gain access to the following important enrollment information.

  • Registration for Courses
  • Your University E-mail 
  • Reserve Your New Student Orientation
  • Check on the Financial Aid package, and so much more

New Student Orientation

All new undergraduate students are required to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO). This spring, New Student Orientations are virtual online events that focus on your needs and prepare you to be a UNT Dallas Trailblazer. We will also have to complete online modules in order to fulfill your orientation requirement. Below is the information about the following sessions we have remaining. 

Freshman Orientation 

There are two opportunities to attend orientation sessions for Spring 2021. In order to receive credit, you must sign up for one of the following dates via your myUNTDallas student portal: 

  • December 8, 2020 4:00PM-6:30PM

  • January 9, 2021 10:00AM-12:30PM

Transfer Orientation 

There are two opportunities to attend orientation sessions for Spring 2021. In order to receive credit, you must sign up for one of the following dates via your myUNTDallas student portal: 

  • December 8, 2020 4:00PM-6:30PM

  • January 9, 2021 10:00AM-12:30PM

Registering for Classes

You will get the opportunity to pick out your class schedule during a visit with one of our Academic Success Advisors. Academic Advising for all new students will be completed via your individual advising appointment. UNT Dallas offers new students the opportunity to meet with their Academic Success Advisor prior to attending New Student Orientation. You will still be required to attend NSO, but you will have completed your biggest step, which registering for your enrollment appointment!

Work with the Student Success Coaching team to coordinate your advising and registration. You may have to sign up for a placement test or meet other TSI requirements, before scheduling an opportunity to meet with academic advising to get registered. You can reach out directly to successcoaching@untdallas.edu or chat via their page at https://app.purechat.com/w/UNTDAdvisingOur peer coaches will assist you with scheduling all of your academic needs.

Spring 2021 registration appointments for new students will begin on October 5th. 

TSI (Placement Test)

All first-year and transfer students coming into the University of North Texas at Dallas must have satisfied the TSI (Texas Success Initiative) assessment requirement before setting an appointment with advising and registering for classes. Your registration could possibly be delayed if your TSI status cannot be determined before your advising and registration appointment. PLEASE NOTE: You MUST register for a new orientation session and satisfy your TSI Test requirements BEFORE you are able to set an appointment with an academic advisor. Upon registering for an orientation date and satisfying your TSI requirements, you can contact our advising department for assistance with scheduling your appointment using the contact information listed above for the Student Success coaching team. If you are exempt from the TSI please complete the TSI Assessment Exemption Form and return it to Testing Services at UNT Dallas.
